Syed B. Ali is Chairman, President & CEO of Cavium Networks, a publicly listed semiconductor company he founded in 2000 that specializes in building microprocessors for networking, communications, security and storage applications. Syed has over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor business having worked in various roles in design engineering, marketing/sales and business management. From 1998-2000, he was founding team member and Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Malleable Technologies, subsequently acquired by PMC-Sierra, a communication chip company in 2000. From 1994-1998, Syed was Executive Director at Samsung Electronics. Syed Ali has also held various positions in product design and development at Wafer Scale Integration (acquired by ST Microelectronics, Italy), Tandem Computer (a division of Hewlett Packard), and American Microsystems Inc. Syed is the holder of 5 US patents and has authored or co-authored several papers. He holds a BE from Osmania University, in Hyderabad, India, and an MSEE from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI.

Simon Atkinson

Stan Boland is President & CEO of Icera Inc., a new 'pure play' cellular wireless chipset and software company. Stan graduated in Physics from Cambridge University in 1981. After an early career with Rolls-Royce, Bell Resources, Bricom and ICL, he joined Acorn Computers in 1997 and was appointed CEO in 1998. In 1999, he led the acquisition and VC backing for a core part of Acorn – its high-performance microprocessor design group - renamed Element 14. In late 2000, he sold the Company to Broadcom Corporation in a paper transaction valued at $640M, generating a 32x return for investors. In 2002, Stan co-founded Icera Inc, which now employs over 200 staff in 4 countries around the world. Icera plans an IPO for late 2009.

Prior to that, he was group vice president of the Computation Products Group at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. Mr. Bourgoin received a B.S.E.E. from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from Arizona State University.

Peter Frith

Peter Frith joined Wolfson as an analog circuit designer in 1985, initially designing custom mixed signals chips for many applications including communications, military, industrial and audio. From 1990 he lead a low power communications circuit design group, in 1996 transforming that group into the audio converter design group that produced Wolfson's first standard audio DAC and Codec products. As this activity expanded, from 2000 he assumed responsibility for Wolfson's New Product Definition activity and in 2006 was appointed CTO. He is currently tasked with adding further new technologies to Wolfson's growing mixed signal chip portfolio.

Harding also served as executive vice president of Zycad Corporation. He began his career with distinction at IBM. He serves on the board of directors of RF Micro Devices, Inc., is a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Development Strategies and a member of the Board of Visitors for the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University. Jed co-founded Gigle in September 2005 and serves as CTO and VP Engineering. Prior to Gigle Jed co-formed ST Microelectronics mobile imaging business group, and led the specification and development of mobile camera modules which have shipped in high volume and delivered significant revenues. Jed also led the creation of an open mobile industry camera standard, SMIA. Jed became a leading figure in the imaging community and is an active member of IEEE, where he serves on the ISSCC technical committee. Mike Inglis

Mark Eric Jones

Mark-Eric Jones joined Innovative Silicon, a semiconductor memory technology company as CEO in August 2004. Previously, he was Vice President and General Manager at MoSys, Inc. in Sunnyvale, California, responsible for building the memory technology Intellectual Property (IP) licensing business from its creation in 1998, including the completing the company’s IPO road-show with the CEO in 2001. From 1996 to 1998 he was director of Mentor Graphics Corporation's "Inventra" division after Mentor Graphics acquired 3Soft Corporation which he had run as CEO from 1992 until 1996. Mr. Jones was founder and CEO of MEJ Electronics Ltd. (renamed 3Soft Ltd.) in the UK from 1976 until 1996. Mr. Jones has served as president of the Board of RAPID, the semiconductor IP trade association. He has an M.A. degree in Electrical Sciences from Trinity College, University of Cambridge, UK.

Carlos Azeredo Leme

Before assuming his current position as CTO and executive vice president of MIPS Technologies' Analog Business Group, Carlos Leme was a co-founder of Chipidea Microelectronics S.A., where served as chief technical officer and executive vice-president of the IP Wireless Systems Division. At Chipidea, Carlos Leme worked in the areas of audio, power management, RF and analog front-ends for cellular, wireline communications and sensors. Leme is also a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Engineering University (IST) in Lisbon, Portugal. He holds an Engineering Degree in EE and a doctorate from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETHZ), Switzerland. He has published more than 75 articles in book chapters, international journals and conferences.

He received the Year 2000 National Medal of Excellence in Science and Technology from the Premier of Republic of China. He was elected to be a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in 1991, and was honored to be elected as a member of the National Academy of Engineering in 1999. Dr. Lu received the "IEEE 1998 Solid State Circuits Field" award. Dr. Lu earned his bachelor's in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University and his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1981.

Ajit Manocha

Manocha is responsible for all aspects of Spansion's global manufacturing operations, IT and supply chain management, including product cost, yields, quality, reliability, on-time delivery, manufacturing cycle times and customer service. A seasoned semiconductor expert, Manocha has held several senior executive and management positions at NXP, Philips Semiconductors, AT&T Microelectronics and AT&T Bell Laboratories. Most recently, he was executive vice president and chief manufacturing officer at NXP (formerly Philips Semiconductors). While at NXP, Manocha has most recently been a member of the Board of Directors of International SEMATECH, the Crolles Alliance (a 300mm development and manufacturing joint venture between STM, Freescale and Phillips), ASMC (a publicly traded foundry in China) and chairman of the Board of Directors of SSMC (a joint venture between NXP and TSMC). Ajit will continue as an advisor to NXP on Industrial Strategy and maintain advisory board roles in a couple of local start-ups.

Per November 19, 2007 Mrs. Maria Marced is appointed President of TSMC Europe. Maria is responsible for driving the development, strategy and management of TSMC Europe. In 2005 Maria became Senior Vice President and General Manager of Sales and Marketing at NXP Semiconductors/Philips Semiconductors. Maria joined Philips Semiconductor in September 2003 as Senior Vice-president and General Manager of the Connected Multimedia Solutions Business Unit overseeing Philips' semiconductor solutions for Connected Consumer applications. Maria joined Philips from Intel where she developed her professional career over 19 years, reaching the top position in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region as Vice President and General Manager. Prior to Intel, Maria worked in Spain for several companies. Mrs. Marced holds a Ph.D. in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Spain.

Brian Markwalter

Brian Markwalter is Vice President of Technology and Standards for the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), a trade association with more than 2100 members representing the $140 billion U.S. consumer technology industry. Mr. Markwalter is responsible for overseeing CEA's ANSI-accredited standards development operation and provides key engineering support to the association and its membership groups. Mr. Markwalter represents CEA's technical interests in industry and international venues related to digital television, spectrum management, standards and intellectual property, and energy efficiency. Mr. Markwalter has a long history of standards activities, including participation in ISO/IEC Joint Technical Committee 1 SC 25 on home electronic systems, Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers, and Advanced Television Systems Committee digital television standards. Mr. Markwalter is currently on the ATSC Board of Directors. Prior to joining CEA, Mr. Markwalter worked as Director at Intellon Corporation. Mr. Markwalter holds BS and MS EE degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a licensed professional engineer.
